Boys Room Part #5 + Free Printables ( 3 boys 1 Room)

Well its getting there just little touches left but I thought I would share some nice shots I took this morning of the room plus a nice Printable for you all to enjoy.

Here are some SO far pictures ... I cant wait to finish moving the TV and cords . The window treatments are not done yet and I need to Add a light above each bed and a Bean Bag for reading and some throw pillows and maybe a rug . I plan to go to Ikea Monday to hopefully finish it up.

The Next step in the Boys bedroom Project was putting a shelf up above each bed , I found a box of 8 of these unfinished shelf sets at a second hand store in town for only $12 that makes each shelf 1.50 I know what you are wanting to say "SHUT UP" . So I don't want to over load you with pictures so I didn't add the painting pictures its really simple I sprayed them black .

Guess what I found in the garage never before used. Ok I will tell you its a laser pointer thing (I'm not really sure the name of it ) we got it about 5 years ago in a box with a shelf from clearance at home-depot I totally forgot about it which would have came in handy with my Badly hung gallery wall .

Of course I lost the things that stick it to the wall , but no worries I have Scotch tape :)

The Bins on the shelf I got from the Dollar Tree the orange I actually had to paint since they only had teal and green . The Book Shelf I bought at Walmart for $15

Here are the Free printable's I made , I asked the boys what their favorite books are they ( Dylan and Lonnie) said Dr. Seuss so I made these with some of my favorite Dr. Seuss quotes I added their name to the tops in the download I'm attaching you will have a option to add a name to the top as well.

Boys Bedroom part #4(beds) 3 Boys 1 Room

Well we still haven't moved the T.v down or found a third head board but we are moving along . We got the boys beds so I was on a hunt for the green,teal and orange bedding .

I found the perfect! color sheets at Walmart they are mainstays fitted orange , teal and lime green sheet ( No Pillow Case Included), we put a fitted sheet on the box spring and the mattress to make it look cleaner , then I swear I spent hours and hours trying to find the boys comforters in these colors with NO luck and then one day I was at the wonderful Target and found these Lime green quilt sets they were $30 a piece which I think is a pretty Good deal .

Here is the Brand I bought the pattern on the quilt is slightly different but similar

lets see what did I do next we found this black book shelf which isn't exactly like the one in my inspiration picture but I think its similar enough and once I get the T.v lowered and the cords hidden it will look perfect.

Well off to get the boys from school I will post later about the decor I added which isn't pictured below .

3 Boys 1 Room Part #3 ( Boys Bedroom)

yay! for Black Friday the only thing we got this year was a nice Big Tv for only $180 I know its a bit BIG for 3 small boys but hey they are going to grow up one day . So now onto hanging it on the wall the reason why I think hanging it on the wall is perfect for their room is because the layout of the room there really is no other way to put it where they can see it . Big found me a swivel wall hanger which is perfect. The only thing we need to do now is lower it , it ended up way to high we think plus the plug cant go flush against the wall right now since it is not long enough . I really want to do what what House of Hepworths did with her cords , brilliant stop over and check out her post .

So here is how it ended up for now it will

be lowered at some point I swear lol .

Boys bedroom Part #2 (3 boys 1 room)

Last month I posted the start of the boys room makeover (3 boys 1 room) in that post I talked about how I came up with the design of their room using my new favorite design board site www.olioboard.com Here is what I came up with

Why I went with Grey well because when you have 3 boys at 3 different ages its kinda hard to pick a common theme plus I was over the themed character bedrooms its a waste of money in my house with how fast these boys change their mind and likes .

So I got to painting which I posted it about in my Part 1 post (3 boys 1 room)

Now I was on the headboard hunt I knew just what I wanted sine when we were buying bunkbeds a few years back I had seen them at the matteress store, well I got Lucky at GW and found 2 of these red metal headboards .

So now onto painting them black it was a little chilly but not too bad so out we went to spray paint them up

yes I planned to paint them like this and then flip them that was until that brilliant husband of mine helped me <3

I will be posting about putting them into the boys room later . I love spray paint it really makes something brand new again .

The Start of the Boys Room Makeover (3 boys 1 room)

3 boys 1 room part*1

We moved into our new house last year and really have done no big updates yet . I was told that no matter what I do in this new house I'm ot allowed to Paint , I guess My painting skills at our old house were NOT so great ??? I always hit the ceiling and molding . So he promises that we will hire a professional to do all the painting in the new house which was OK by me heck painting and my fibromyliga don't mix very well anyways , So anyways I found this site called Olioboard its a great site to make a design board or create a complete room design . This is what I came up with for the Boys room which was not a great idea since I'm not really good with waiting and once I make my mind up on how I what something to look its really hard not to just attempt to get it done !

So while Big was away on business I went to Ace to ask some questions and to pick a paint color I wanted when a Lady stopped me and had overheard me talking about how Im NOT allowed to paint , she said that she is the same way and that she found a tool that fixed the problem this wonderful little tool

So I Picked My paint color and my rollers and got home quick I only had 2 days to get it done before he got home .

First BAD idea I had with their room is letting them stick all these Dollar Store Re-movable Stickers to the wall it was a HUGE pain to remove them but once that was done it was time to get to work.
